Winchester Model United Nations Conference, better known as WinMUN, is a one-day simulation of the United Nations hosted by THE Winchester High School and holds the prestigious title of one of the largest student-led, public high school Model UN conferences across Massachusetts and New England. WinMUN offers diverse committees tailored for both experienced delegates and beginners ready to dive into international affairs.
WinMUN VIII will be hosted at Winchester High School (80 Skillings Rd, Winchester, MA 01890) on Sunday, April 6th, 2025

A Letter from the Secretariat
Welcome to WINMUN VIII! We are thrilled to have you join us for this year’s conference, where diplomacy, collaboration, and critical thinking will take center stage. You will have the opportunity to engage in debate and negotiation across a diverse array of committees.
In the General Assembly: United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), you will explore pressing refugee and displacement issues, working toward solutions that uphold justice and dignity for all. The Economic and Social Council: African Union puts Africa in the spotlight and asks delegates to forge solutions surrounding food insecurity and women’s rights. In the Specialized Committee: International Olympic Committee (IOC), you will navigate the intersection of sports, politics, and global cooperation to shape the future of the Olympic Games.
Our Joint Crisis Committee: Berlin, 1989 (West vs East) will immerse you in the dramatic events of the Berlin Wall’s fall, challenging you to manage high-stakes negotiations between opposing factions. For those stepping into the corporate world, the Board of Directors: Chipotle will have you guiding the company through critical business decisions, balancing ethics, sustainability, and profit.
If you’re seeking a truly dynamic experience, the Ad-Hoc: Hunger Games will transport you to Panem, where strategy and survival will test your wits and alliances. Meanwhile, our Press Corps will play a crucial role, reporting on developments and shaping public opinion across the conference.
